Dox TMS - Theatre Management system

Dox TMS provides

  • a comprehensive range of management information about the costs of theatre procedures and operations; by admission / episode, type of procedure, surgeon, DRG, and date range.
  • inventory / consumables management that includes purchasing, management of consignment stock, tracking of serialised stock and prosthetics, multiple manufacturers and vendors per item, and much more
  • costing that is broad or as narrow as required given that every direct and enterprise wide indirect associated in any way with a procedure can be apportioned to the procedure

    • understand where costs are excessive
    • influence surgeons to consider alternatives using real data regarding their costs and outcomes in comparison to their peers
    • undertake benchmark studies
  • report to stakeholders at any time using comprehensive user-defined reports and up to date information

Management by Exception

TMS workflow requirements are truly minimal.  Clinical staff in theatre or recovery need only indicate where the use of the item has not been what is typical for that combination of surgeon and procedure.

Dox TMS makes that easy because the setup of the preference card for that combination of surgeon and procedure specifies those few items in the preference card which may change and only those items are shown on the recording systems used in theatre.  Refer to the section on Preference Cards for more information.

Comprehensive Reporting and Analysis

TMS provides a wealth of standard reports.  All of those reports have been developed using  Crystal Reports - modify them and add your own.

Because of the richness and extent of the data made available many of the reports automatically export their content to Pivot Tables in MS Excel 2007 so you can explore and drill down to investigate cause and effect scenarios.

More information is available in the section on TMS Reporting.
